Pallagrello Bianco is a native grape found in the province of Caserta that is distinguished by a compact cluster with a distinctive black dot at the tip of each berry. Its name comes from "pallarello," which means “small ball." The Alois 2023 Pallagrello Bianco Caiatì sees stainless steel winemaking to reveal a slightly amber or golden color. Pineapple, candied fruit and lemon drop characterize this open-knit wine. There is some waxiness on the mid-weight mouthfeel. Vintners Michele and Massimo Alois have dedicated much effort to safeguarding this special grape.
