The 9th “SAKURA” Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2022

The 9th “SAKURA” Japan Women’s Wine Awards judging was held in Tokyo (at Hotel Gajoen Tokyo on April 4th ) and Osaka (at Hotel Nikko Osaka on April 13th ).

A total of 430 judges, all women in the Japanese wine industry, judged 4,652 wines from 25 countries.
286 items were awarded “Double Gold”, 1,425 items were awarded “Gold”, 614 items were awarded “Silver”, and a total of 2,325 items were honored with awards.
In addition, 60 of outstanding items from the "Double Gold" were honored with the "Diamond Trophy".

There is also "Special Awards", which consists of 8 sub-categories, and Best Pairing Wine for Asian Cuisine consists of 9 sub-categories, and they are selected from Gold or Double Gold awarded wines.
The wine with the highest score in each category were awarded the title of "Grand Prix".

Our Caulino 2018 and Settimo 2017 achieved the Silver medal!
