100% Pallagrello Bianco from a vineyard planted in Monti Trebulani on volcanic soils at 148 m above sea level. Tasted blind. A deep yellow hue, this is ripe and nutty, marzipan-rich and brimming with golden fruit flavours. The texture is almost chewy, the density countered by an intense, mouth-watering salinity. Notes of saffron and the bitter fruitiness of fresh turmeric deepen the golden, savoury impression. The wine lasts, a little rustic but with loads of character. (TQT)
